57th & Calumet, Assata's Daughters Garden
From CAIR-Chicago and Assata's Daughters and a coalition or organizations: "This isn't just a vigil for Charleena Lyles and Nabra Hassanen. But a vigil for all BLACK / Muslim womxn and femmes harmed and killed by intra-community and state sanctioned violence, domestically and abroad.
We understand the deep intersections of anti-Black racism and anti-Muslim racism, and that anti-Black racism is a root of Islamophobia, core to the foundation of the U.S.A. We also understand that it is the last 10 days of Ramadan, the holiest time of the year for Muslims across the globe." RSVP on Facebook here.
