Recent reports have confirmed the long-held suspicion that foul play was involved of the disappearance of thousands of children in Israel from 1948-1960. Story in Israel HaYom, and story covering protests in wake of the revelations in +972 Mag here.

When these children, mostly children of Yemenite immigrants to Israel, disappeared in medical facilities, their parents were told they died but were never given confirmation. The shocking truth is that, unbeknownst to their parents, these children were subjected to racially-motivated medical experiments.

Jay Stanton (Rabbinical Intern at Tzedek Chicago) and Lesley Williams (member of the Jewish Voice for Peace's Network Against Islamophobia) will help us understand the myths and facts of Israel's treatment of Yemenite Jews, what these experiments tell us about the role of racism in the establishment of Israel, and present-day efforts to combat racism and anti-Arab and anti-Muslim sentiment.
